Description
Care Dorset, a dynamic local authority trading company owned by Dorset Council, is embarking on an ambitious journey of growth and expansion. They provide essential services to older people and individuals with disabilities, including residential care, day services, reablement and rehabilitation, and supported living. With plans to expand into extra care and other service areas, now is an exciting time to join the organisation.
Care Dorset seeks a strategic and experienced property professional to lead and develop their property and facilities management services. In this critical role, you will manage a diverse property portfolio, ensuring it meets the highest health and safety standards and effectively supports the organisation’s service delivery. Your responsibilities will include overseeing all aspects of property operations, from maintenance and project management to budget allocation and sustainability initiatives. You’ll also build and maintain robust relationships with registered social landlords, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders, acting as the strategic advisor on all property matters.
The successful candidate will bring extensive senior-level experience in property management, ideally within social care or a similar complex environment. Strong leadership skills are essential, as you will lead a dedicated team covering facilities management, health & safety, and contract management. Your proven track record in partnership development, financial management, and compliance with health and safety legislation will enable you to foster a positive, committed organisational culture.
In return, Care Dorset offers a competitive salary alongside generous annual leave entitlement, enhanced maternity pay, occupational sick pay from day one, and access to a comprehensive employee benefits package including the Blue Light discount scheme, an Employee Assistance Programme, extensive training and development opportunities, and more.
This is a fantastic opportunity to shape the future of Care Dorset’s property portfolio, ensuring the safety, quality, and sustainability of the environments supporting exceptional care delivery.
